It is a good way to quickly update those who have not been keeping up with the breaking news. I found this article to be extremely helpful since they are spreading the information and that is what is most important right now, making sure that as many people as possible know what's happening.
Forty-two years under the yoke of the repressive and eccentric tyrant who has no respect for his own country since himself call his people "backward". I mean this is awful how can someone qualifies people like that who has the right to say that some people are "backwards" or "updates". It is understandable enough why today, Libyans no longer put up with a man who wants to "wipe out" his own people. Perhaps the pro-democracy uprisings in the Arab world helped them to take inspiration and gave them audacity to react against such a dictator.
I really like the way a 2006 New Yorker article described the country "Prosperity without employment and large population of young without a sense of purpose." This fit them utterly because they have everything for their own (oil and young and dynamic people) but they just do not know how to take advantage of it and that really sucks.
I can't believe that people consider such a person like "a leader" and even call his son "the principal" maybe it's because of the pressure they put on them I guess. Above all that his son has founded the QICDF which stands for "Quaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation" in order to promote human rights and fight against the use of torture not only in Libya but in all accross the Middle East and we noticed that they are the first no to fight for freedom and respect of those rights mentionned above...as they punished anyone who protests against their regime because according to the New york times, "Both protesters and the security forces have reason to believe that backing down will likely mean their ultimate death or imprisonment." Additionally, how can a founder of such a foundation can lay such words "we will fight until the last man, until the last woman, until the last bullet" only because some people are against his father's regime.
Where is the democary ?
Where is the freedom of expression and assembly in all that?...or is it just fictious?
